Qualifications

  • Must be trained to operate forklift.
  • Current Driver’s license.
  • Functionally literate, able to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • Familiarity with oilfield-related equipment and procedures preferred.
  • Employee must complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical function assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to load and unload equipment from floats and trucks and move materials around the yard.
  • Maintain forklift: grease regularly, check fluids, oil changes, inspect for leaks, tire pressure, lights, and systems.
  • Keep an organized inventory of equipment, mud tubulars, and materials; log and report shortages to Rig Manager.
  • Ensure proper documentation accompanies shipments and materials; forward packing slips to Rig Manager.
  • Maintain BOP skid and racks, keep rig location clean, and assist in drill rig, pipeshed or shop as needed.
  • Provide relief on drill rig floor and assist Driller with daily rig site duties.
