Job summary

Design Solutions and Integration in Midland, TX is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with an Oil & Gas background to support Permian Basin operations. The role requires frequent field walks to scope projects from verbal client requests and to estimate without formal blueprints.

You will collaborate with the Sales Team to pursue opportunities and with Project Managers to ensure smooth handoffs. Proficiency with McCormick Systems is preferred, but training is available for strong

Qualifications

• Estimating electrical scopes from site walks without blueprints.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, midstream, upstream, or heavy industrial.
• Strong communication across sales, operations, and PMs.
• Willingness to travel to field sites.
• Familiarity with NEC in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to evaluate opportunities and bids.
• Review estimates with Project Managers after awards.
• Conduct field walks to identify requirements and draft on-site layouts.
• Translate field notes into material and labor takeoffs in McCormick.
• Maintain and adapt the McCormick database for local conditions.
• Budget for hazardous environments and explosion-proof fittings.
• Advise clients on budgets during site walks.
