Job summary

Design Solutions and Integration is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with an Oil & Gas background to support Permian Basin operations and field teams of approximately 55 electricians. Based in Midland, TX, the role involves field walks, scope from verbal requests, and design-build estimation with McCormick Systems.

You will collaborate with the Sales Team to secure opportunities and with Project Managers to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate budgets.

Qualifications

• Exceptional ability to conceptualize, design-build, and estimate electrical scopes from scratch.
• Experience estimating for Oil & Gas, midstream, upstream, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to communicate and work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and PMs.
• 2+ years with McCormick Systems OR proven use of other software with quick learning ability.
• Willingness to travel to field sites and oilfields across the Permian Basin.
• Strong NEC knowledge for industrial wiring, hazardous areas, and grounding.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Sales Team to evaluate opportunities and help secure bids.
• Coordinate with Project Managers for hand-offs, hours, budgets, and scope.
• Conduct field walks to identify requirements and draft on-site electrical layouts.
• Create accurate material and labor takeoffs using McCormick back at Midland office.
• Maintain and customize McCormick database for local labor units and production rates.
• Scope for Class I, Division 1 and 2 environments and explosion-proof fittings.
• Consult clients during walks to provide technical solutions and budget guidance.
