Job summary

Key Energy Services, LLC. is seeking a Derrickhand to work on a well service rig in Texas. The role involves performing all well-servicing tasks from elevated positions, assisting in rigging up and down, and transferring rods and tubing between racks and the elevator.

You will drive the crew truck and support safe, efficient operations on oil and gas wells. Preferred candidates have 1-2 years of Derrickhand experience, a High school diploma or GED, and an active CDL B license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of Workover - Derrickhand experience preferred.
• CDL B license required to drive rig and comply with vehicle policy.

Responsibilities

• Assists operator in rigging up and down, lining up the well service rig with the well.
• Sets hydraulic jacks, handles pads/boards and helps attach guy wires to the anchor.
• Responsible for elevated work during rigging up/down (removing horse head from pumping unit).
• Manages rod basket and tubing board tasks, transfers rods and tubing to the elevator and performs servicing on the well.
• Drives the crew truck as needed.
• Operates tubing elevators for standing tubing in the derrick.
• Assists in handling tubing and rods and in walking rods when laying down.
• Reports safety hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues to the rig supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• May be required to work floors or operate the rig when needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
