Job summary

Crescent Energy, a leading U.S. oil and gas producer, seeks an Automation & Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and repair automation systems that support field production operations.

The role requires 5+ years in oilfield work, including 3+ years in automation and electrical roles; a Licensed Electrician is a plus. You will work with SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, and field communication networks, often outdoors, and you must be available On-Call as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of oilfield experience, including at least 3 years in automation and electrical roles.
• Strong knowledge of oilfield automation systems and electrical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs and HMIs.
• Experience with SCADA, TCP/IP, Modbus and data communications is preferred.
• Licensed Electrician is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automation equipment in field production operations.
• Coordinate with operations teams regarding equipment status and needs.
• Monitor SCADA and diagnose sensor or communication failures.
• Work with automation contractors for proper installation and cost-effective solutions.
• Train field personnel on equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks (Ethernet-based).
