Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH seeks an experienced Director/Senior Director in the Energy & Chemicals practice to lead IT-enabled transformations for oil & gas clients. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive diligence, and deliver measurable business outcomes in dynamic engagements.

The role requires deep industry knowledge, executive-level communication, and the ability to operate across field, data room, and technology organizations while building trusted client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in management consulting or transaction advisory.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with BI/SQL/Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engagements across oil & gas, energy sectors, and PE clients.
• Frame ambiguous problems, establish practical hypotheses, and guide teams to results.
• Plan executive interviews, workshops, site visits, and readouts with senior stakeholders.
• Develop practical recommendations with clear owners, timing, and dependencies.
• Produce client-ready deliverables with data-backed storytelling.
• Manage teams, coach juniors, and maintain high-quality work standards.
