Job summary

Brunel Energy is recruiting a Project Controls Engineer to work with a major oil and gas company on a 12-month contract in Houston. The role focuses on building integrated schedules, managing budgets, and highlighting risks to support effective program delivery.

The incumbent will liaise with Leadership and Project Managers to create schedules, track performance, forecast costs, and ensure alignment with project objectives. Travel may be required to collaborate with project teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or related field.
  • Experience managing complex project schedules with interdependencies and milestones.
  • Knowledge of cost planning and scheduling engineering.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to liaise with project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build integrated project schedules and budgets, highlighting critical dependencies and milestones.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to create project-specific schedules and budgets.
  • Assist in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Support cost and schedule performance tracking and trend analysis.
  • Prepare monthly cost/schedule reports and communicate risks and opportunities.
