Job summary

Plains All American, based in Houston, seeks an experienced Analyst, Land Title Administration to research surface ownership and title documents for properties tied to our land interests. You will maintain records, coordinate title research, and communicate ownership changes to stakeholders.

The role supports acquisitions, due diligence, audits, data conversions, and special projects, with collaboration across departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years oil & gas title experience required.
• Proficient with metes and bounds deed plotting tools.
• Strong mapping software knowledge, especially ArcGIS and Google Earth.
• Experience with county records offices and land records systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn other apps.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verify surface ownership using county clerk/recorder indexing and title plants.
• Use GIS mapping to verify assets and property locations.
• Analyze deeds, probate, and assignments to update surface ownership.
• Research tax records to corroborate owner names and parcel info.
• Track entity name changes using Secretary of State sites.
• Coordinate third party title research and abstracts.
• Communicate ownership changes with landowners and stakeholders.
• Maintain auditable records of ownership research and updates.
• Assist with acquisitions, due diligence, data conversions and special projects.
