Job summary

Percheron LLC seeks an experienced mineral acquisition agent within driving distance of Fairmont or Morgantown, WV to perform land-related tasks for oil & gas exploration and development. You will negotiate, purchase minerals, and coordinate title curative, well-staking, and easement activities.

The role requires strong communication, independent work, ethical conduct, and AAPL membership; travel is involved with field assignments and remote/off-site reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of related sales/business experience OR a degree in Energy Land Management.
• Strong understanding of land-related contracts and ownership.
• Proficient in MS Office; maps literacy; research and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, negotiate, and acquire land agreements for oil and gas exploration and development.
• Identify land ownership interests and locations of owners.
• Draft contracts to meet client requirements and due diligence.
• Prepare daily activity reports and land-related status updates.
• Liaise with landowners on ownership, rights, and access issues.
• Maintain updates with Project Manager and client procedures.
