Role Description

The Oil & Gas Land Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is responsible for negotiating oil and gas leases, surface use agreements, and related contracts with landowners across assigned areas. Day-to-day activities include conducting title and ownership research, evaluating land records, and coordinating lease and mineral acquisition efforts to support client projects. The Land Agent will maintain detailed documentation of all agreements, track lease obligations, and ensure compliance with company and client standards. The role also involves building and maintaining professional relationships with landowners, collaborating with internal project teams, and providing regular status updates on leasing and acquisition progress.

Qualifications

• Strong lease-focused skills, including Lease Negotiations and familiarity with Leases and related contract terms.
• Experience in Land Management and Land Acquisition within the oil and gas sector or a closely related industry.
• Proficiency in Lease Administration, including tracking obligations, renewals, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret legal descriptions, title documents, and property records, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with landowners, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and respect in all landowner and community interactions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with standard office software and land/lease management systems; mapping or GIS experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally as project needs require.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Energy, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant field experience strongly valued.
