Job summary

Percheron LLC in Parkersburg area seeks mineral leasing agents to perform land-related activities for oil and gas exploration and development, including leasing, purchasing, title curative, well staking, and easement work. You may work in the office or in the field within driving distance to WV, OH, or PA.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in land/sales or a degree in Energy Land Management, plus strong contract, research, and communication skills; AAPL member preferred.

Qualifications

• At least three years of related professional sales or land experience or a degree in Energy Land Management.
• Strong knowledge of real property acquisition policies and procedures.
• Understanding of land-related contracts and agreements.
• Proficient with MS Office and map reading; able to research land ownership.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage priorities under pressure.
• Demonstrates ethics, confidentiality, and effective communication.
• Member in good standing with the AAPL.

Responsibilities

• Research, negotiate, and acquire land agreements for oil and gas exploration.
• Identify land ownership interests and locations of owners.
• Draft contracts to satisfy client requirements.
• Prepare daily activity reports and title-related instruments.
• Perform due diligence on land rights and remedial needs.
• Liaise with landowners on ownership, rights, and access issues.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and client procedures.
• Work in the office or in the field as required.
• Maintain regular attendance and collaborate as a team.
