Job summary

Percheron LLC is seeking mineral leasing agents within driving distance of WV, OH, or PA to perform land-related activities for oil and gas exploration and development, including leasing, mineral purchasing, title curative, well-staking, easement acquisition, and ingress/egress at drilling locations.

Essentials include researching, negotiating, and acquiring land agreements, identifying land ownership interests, drafting contracts, and conducting due diligence.

Qualifications

• Three years of related professional sales/business experience or a degree in Energy Land Management is required.
• Good understanding of laws, rules, regulations, and real property acquisition procedures.
• Thorough understanding of land-related contracts and agreements.
• Proficient in MS Office, maps, and online research.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain schedules.
• Must be ethical, honest, and customer-focused.
• Must be a current member in good standing with the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL).

Responsibilities

• Research, negotiate, and acquire land agreements for oil and gas exploration and development.
• Identify land ownership interests and locations of owners.
• Negotiate terms within client parameters and draft contracts as required.
• Prepare daily activity reports and landman reports for complex negotiations.
• Perform due diligence to ensure accuracy of land rights and address deficiencies.
• Liaise with landowners on ownership, rights, damages, and access issues.
• Adhere to company and client policies and procedures.
• Maintain status updates with Project Manager or client and complete assignments on time.
• Other duties as assigned
