Job summary

Antero Resources in Denver seeks an experienced senior accounting professional to lead financial reporting and consolidation. You will manage close processes, liaise with auditors, and support SEC filings, bringing GAAP expertise and leadership to a dynamic oil & gas finance team.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA with 4+ years in public accounting and 2+ years in the oil & gas sector, with supervisory experience and strong Excel skills to drive accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree inAccounting/Business/Finance; field of study specified.
• Minimum four years of experience in Public Accounting at a Big Four or large regional firm, including SEC filing experience.
• At least two years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated financial statements and schedules for notes to the financials and public filings.
• Review and post monthly journal entries accurately.
• Manage monthly close calendar and checklists.
• Review reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors for quarterly/yearly audits.
• Support SEC reporting and research accounting standards; contribute to whitepapers.
• Oversee activities of Financial Accountants; provide training and performance feedback.
• Ensure lease calculations and documentation; monitor operating expenditures and metrics.
• Collaborate with other departments on financial reporting matters.
