Job summary

Jobot in Williston, ND is seeking a Field Engineer to serve oil, gas and chemical customers across North Dakota. You will partner with our sales team to design fluid system solutions, support customers from initial conversation through delivery, and lead projects from concept to completion.

The role blends engineering with field work and customer training, with travel statewide. A mechanical engineering degree and 4–7 years’ relevant experience are preferred; CAD/SolidWorks knowledge is a plus,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical preferred).
4–7 years in project, manufacturing, production, or similar engineering roles.
Oil, gas, or chemical industry experience required.
Customer-facing experience in sales, service, or field engineering preferred.
CAD/SolidWorks a plus.
Self-starter who can work independently from a small satellite office.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Analytical thinking and good organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

Serve on the oil, gas, and chemical market team, building knowledge of customer applications and industry trends.
Work with sales on customer calls, recommend application-specific solutions, and support every stage of the sales cycle.
Lead customer projects from concept to completion, including P&ID development and confirming form, fit, and function.
Lead onsite service work across the state, spotting system improvement opportunities and delivering technical value in the field.
Deliver technical presentations and hands-on training to customers and prospects.
