Job summary

S&ME, a leading engineering firm, is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to support Oil & Gas projects in the Carolinas. You will lead design and permitting for natural gas transmission and distribution work, manage cross‑functional teams, and maintain strong client relationships across locations.

The ideal candidate has a civil or environmental engineering background, 6+ years in energy, and at least 3 years of project management experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in civil engineering in the energy market.
• 3+ years experience as a project manager.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams responsible for design and permitting of natural gas transmission and distribution projects.
• Oversee full project lifecycle including safety, risk management, quality, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Develop environmental and non-environmental permit packages and perform design work for pipelines and facilities.
• Collaborate with leadership to pursue new project opportunities and proposals.
