Job summary

S&ME, a geotechnical, civil, environmental and construction materials firm, is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to support Oil & Gas projects across the Carolinas. The role requires independent initiative, strong leadership communication, and capability to manage design and permitting for pipeline projects.

You will lead cross-functional teams, oversee the full lifecycle of projects, and contribute to business development through client engagement and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related technical field.
• 6+ years of civil engineering experience in the energy market, with onshore oil and gas experience.
• 3+ years as project manager or with PM responsibilities.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and strong communication.
• Committed to excellence in client development, proposals, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams responsible for design and permitting of natural gas transmission and distribution projects.
• Oversee full project lifecycle, including safety, risk, quality, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Develop environmental and non-environmental permit packages and perform design work for pipelines.
• Collaborate with leadership to pursue new project opportunities and proposals.
