Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to support Oil & Gas projects within our Civil Services team across the Carolinas. You will lead design and permitting for natural gas transmission and distribution projects with strong independence and collaboration with leadership.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in civil engineering for energy, 3+ years as PM, and proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively, and pursue new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in civil engineering in the energy market with onshore oil & gas experience.
• 3+ years as a project manager or with project management responsibilities.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to client development, proposal writing and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams responsible for design and permitting of natural gas transmission and distribution projects.
• Oversee full project lifecycle, including safety, risk, quality, scheduling and budgeting, with strong client engagement.
• Manage development of permit packages and perform design work for pipelines and facilities.
• Collaborate with leadership to pursue new project opportunities and broaden client presence.
