Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead design and permitting of oil and gas pipeline projects across the Carolinas, with a strong focus on independent, proactive delivery and cross‑location collaboration.

The role requires a civil or environmental engineering background, 6+ years in energy market, and 3+ years as PM, with duties spanning permits, design, safety, budgeting, and client development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related technical field preferred.
• 6+ years experience in civil engineering in the energy market, with onshore oil & gas experience required.
• 3+ years experience as a project manager or with project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams responsible for the design and permitting of natural gas transmission and distribution projects, ensuring seamless communication and teamwork.
• Oversee full project lifecycle responsibilities, including safety oversight, risk management, scheduling, and budgeting.
