Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to support Oil & Gas projects across the Carolinas. The role requires independent initiative, leadership of cross-functional teams, and seamless coordination with leadership and peers across locations.

You will manage design and permitting for gas transmission and distribution projects, oversee safety, risk, and budgets, and contribute to client development and compelling proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related technical field.
• 6+ years experience in civil engineering in the energy market, onshore oil & gas.
• 3+ years experience as a project manager or PM responsibilities.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to excellence in client development and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams responsible for design and permitting of natural gas transmission and distribution projects.
• Oversee full project lifecycle including safety oversight, risk management, quality assurance, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Manage development of environmental and non-environmental permit packages and perform design work for natural gas pipelines.
• Collaborate with leadership to pursue new project opportunities and broaden the client community presence.
