Job summary

Pacer Group in Texas (Von Ormy) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support QA testing, prepare laboratory reports, and provide technical support for product evaluation and fluid design. This role includes maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement of laboratory services.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in a science field, with laboratory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in a Science-related field.
• Laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform laboratory testing with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance testing on company products in accordance with laboratory procedures.
• Prepare laboratory reports and ensure results are accurate prior to service delivery.
• Support advanced additive selection and fluid design activities.
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation accurately.
• Provide technical support to Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions.
• Maintain communication with Client Support Labs, operating locations, and product centers.
• Access and utilize technical information from the InTouch repository.
• Assist in preparing technical presentations for internal and external customers.
• Ensure laboratory equipment remains clean, calibrated, and in proper working condition.
• Dispose of laboratory waste safely and according to company procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory audits to ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and support continuous operational improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments before performing laboratory tasks.
• Identify and mitigate potential safety and quality risks.
• Participate in HSE and Service Quality initiatives and meetings.
• Wear required PPE and comply with all Health, Safety & Environment policies.
• Complete all required safety training and maintain compliance with company standards.
