Pacer Group in Texas (Von Ormy) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support QA testing, prepare laboratory reports, and provide technical support for product evaluation and fluid design. Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in a science field, with laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance testing on company products in accordance with laboratory procedures.
  • Prepare laboratory reports and ensure results are accurate prior to service delivery.
  • Support advanced additive selection and fluid design activities.
  • Maintain laboratory records and documentation accurately.
  • Provide technical support to Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions.
  • Maintain communication with Client Support Labs, operating locations, and product centers.
  • Access and utilize technical information from the InTouch repository.
  • Assist in preparing technical presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment remains clean, calibrated, and in proper working condition.
  • Dispose of laboratory waste safely and according to company procedures.
  • Perform routine laboratory audits to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and support continuous operational improvements.
  • Conduct risk assessments before performing laboratory tasks.
  • Identify and mitigate potential safety and quality risks.
  • Participate in HSE and Service Quality initiatives and meetings.
  • Wear required PPE and comply with all Health, Safety & Environment policies.
  • Complete all required safety training and maintain compliance with company standards.

Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)

Domain: Laboratory Operations / Oil & Gas / Cementing Services

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr. on W2

Schedule: 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (7 Days On / 3 Days Off, followed by 7 Nights On / 4 Days Off)

Skills Required
Primary (Must-Have)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations by performing quality assurance testing, preparing laboratory reports, and providing technical support for product evaluation and fluid design. This role is responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while delivering reliable laboratory services.

Laboratory Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Perform quality assurance testing on company products in accordance with laboratory procedures.
  • Prepare laboratory reports and ensure results are accurate prior to service delivery.
  • Support advanced additive selection and fluid design activities.
  • Maintain laboratory records and documentation accurately.
Technical Support
  • Provide technical support to Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions.

  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment while following HSE guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Cementing laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of additive selection and fluid design.

  • Familiarity with quality assurance testing procedures.

  • Onsite laboratory environment supporting Oil & Gas operations.
