Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Oil and Gas Associate Project Manager in Pittsburgh to join our team. The role supports planning and coordination of cross-functional teams to achieve project success, applying technical expertise and PM fundamentals to assess goals and constraints.

You will execute plans, monitor performance, and mitigate risk while partnering with Project Managers, Team Supervisor, and program director to manage client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or equivalent required.
• CAPM® certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals with cost and resource estimates in collaboration with Project Manager and stakeholders.
• Identify key deliverables and milestones.
• Establish baselines for scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
• Develop and execute project management plans.
• Support project charter and kick-off meetings.
• Communicate project plans and gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Provide frequent updates on project performance and risks.
• Manage project plans, scope, deliverables, and schedules.
• Identify issues and risks and craft mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources.
• Provide conflict management during project decisions.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain project management logs and documentation.
• Review progress and risks to ensure milestones are met.
• Estimate Change Orders and report performance metrics.
