Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking an Operations Accounting Supervisor to lead a team of accountants in Denver, ensuring accurate recording and timely close. The role partners with IT and business units to improve systems and processes while maintaining SOX controls.

Strong leadership and accounting credentials are required. The position offers a comprehensive rewards program and a clear path for advancement within the company.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• Six (6) years of Accounting or relevant experience required.
• One to two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• One to three years of oil and gas industry experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP accounting software preferred.

Mansioni

• Supervise staff of professional accountants and ensure timely, accurate recording and analysis of transactions.
• Collaborate with Manager to set and monitor annual goals and metrics.
• Develop and coach employees on performance of assigned duties; provide leadership to the workgroup.
• Work with internal and external parties to resolve issues and implement system upgrades and improvements.
• Monitor internal controls to verify effectiveness and compliance with SOX requirements.
• Actively participate in monthly closeout; review and approve significant journal entries and reconciliations.
