Responsible for the accounting functions within assigned area, including internal and external customer service, management reporting and all aspects of the monthly accounting close. Duties include monthly invoicing of contractual and/or physical gas or oil that may be gathered or processed. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Responsible for personnel, process, and procedures in the workgroup. Ensuring that all accounting activities are recorded timely and effectively.* Collaborates with Manager to set and monitor annual goals and metrics.* Develops and coach's employees on performance of assigned duties. Provides leadership and expertise to the workgroup, gaining expertise in the business processes and system applications used within the workgroup.* Works with internal and external parties to resolve issues. Partners with IT and other business units to implement system upgrades and improvements.* Monitors internal controls to verify effectiveness and compliance with SOX requirements.* Actively participates in the monthly accounting closeout, performing reviews and offering guidance on various accounting topics.
