Job summary

Stratas Foods in Quincy, IL is seeking a lab technician to conduct analytical testing of vegetable oils in a manufacturing facility. You will record data electronically, keep the lab organized, and support production with timely testing.

Responsibilities include prioritizing samples, communicating when corrective actions are needed, and maintaining procedures. A high school diploma and basic data entry skills are required; food-safety experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with food safety is a plus.
• Previous laboratory experience is helpful but not required.
• Basic computer data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate to management when test results indicate corrective action is necessary.
• Prioritize oil samples as they arrive in the laboratory.
• Complete analytical testing and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Enter all analysis into the database (TLC).
• Learn procedures as necessary.
• Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
• Attend all training and safety meetings as scheduled.
