Job summary

Stratas Foods seeks a Laboratory Analyst to analyze oil samples and support quality control in Decatur, IL. You will perform a range of tests, log results, and communicate findings to the supervisor to ensure product quality.

The role requires a high school diploma, about three years of lab experience, and basic data entry skills. Second and third shifts, weekends and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate test results to facilitator when action is needed.
• Prioritize oil samples as they arrive in the lab.
• Complete truck paperwork so shipments depart on time.
• Record data in permanent logs for audit trails.
• Enter test results into the automated QC database.
• Support packaging line quality assurance activities.
• Test finished products and incoming materials.
• Store production retains as required.
• Inform supervisor of laboratory results promptly.
• Learn procedures for new testing equipment.
• Develop understanding to propose process improvements.
