Job summary

State of South Carolina's Department of Corrections seeks an OIG Supervisor to lead training and operations for CALEA accreditation and related personnel. You will ensure compliance with standards, plan and execute specialized training, and participate in emergency coverage and on-call duties.

This role requires experience in investigative work, a relevant degree or substitution, and current or obtainable SCCJA certifications.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma with investigative experience in a public law enforcement agency.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for the required experience.
• Current SCJJA Class I certification is required.
• SCCJA instructor certification must be obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• First line supervision for the OIG training and operations component overseeing CALEA accreditation.
• Ensure accreditation processes and personnel comply with established standards.
• Plan and execute required and elective law enforcement training under guidance.
• Perform other duties including on-call schedules, rotating shifts, and emergencies.
• Coordinate programs, training, and events; oversee policy development and training records.
• Conduct criminal and administrative investigations and prepare official reports and testimony.
