The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) seeks qualified candidates to join its mission to protect public safety through investigations, intelligence, and forensic services. The role involves conducting investigations, supporting local law enforcement, and upholding CALEA standards.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, SC CJ Academy Class I certification, and at least three years of experience; overnight travel and 24-hour on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be a certified Class I law enforcement officer through the SC Criminal Justice Academy.
• Must have at least three (3) years of law enforcement experience.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Position is subject to overnight travel and 24-hour emergency call.
• Must be able to perform all of the physical requirements of a certified Class I LEO.

Responsabilités

• Conduct investigations: gather facts, interview subjects, collect evidence and manage case load.
• Provide manpower and technical assistance to local law enforcement agencies.
• Prepare written investigative reports and testify in state/federal court as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks and maintain case materials.
• Support various SLED units (e.g., intelligence, missing persons, regulatory services) and duties.
