The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice seeks an experienced Training Specialist to design, deliver, and coordinate staff development for agency personnel, with emphasis on Security and Operations training. The role involves cross-functional delivery, documentation, and quality improvements.

You will maintain specialized trainer competencies, pursue certifications, and collaborate with the training division managers to meet agency needs and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of training principles esp. for adult learners.
• Ability to lead discussion groups to stimulate learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement trainings for Security and Operations and related programs.
• Co-facilitate trainings across program areas and adapt delivery to adult learning.
• Complete training records paperwork accurately.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Communicate clearly with participants, staff and managers.
