Job summary

Mastronardi Produce's Livonia, Michigan office is seeking an OHS/EHS Supervisor to lead our Food Safety program across US and Canada sites. You will mentor location leaders, develop safety processes and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, ISO standards while driving a culture of zero incidents.

The role requires a technical bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience, with strong communication, leadership, and travel readiness to facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of environmental, health & safety experience managing OHS/EHS programs in a multi-facility environment.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to travel regularly to facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coach site leaders to implement OHS/EHS accountability for zero incident culture.
• Develop and integrate OHS/EHS processes supporting company initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations across sites.
• Track obligations and provide reminders to ensure completion.
• Prepare reports to regulatory agencies.
• Establish OHS/EHS metrics and KPIs to influence decisions.
• Oversee safety training and maintain records.
• Lead internal/external audits and regulatory interactions.
• Support HR, Legal on workplace safety matters.
• Manage Emergency Action Plan and Emergency Response Teams.
• Coordinate monthly Safety Steering Committee meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
