Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Limited in Livonia, MI, seeks a Manager, Food Safety and Quality to lead the SQF program and the food safety team at the facility. You will ensure compliance with FSS policies, coordinate audits, and drive program improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, HACCP/PCQI credentials, SQF knowledge, and experience with audits, including third-party and regulatory assessments. Accommodation and 24/7 readiness may be required for a large-scale distribution operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, sciences, agriculture or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years in a Food Safety/Quality Assurance/Management function with SQF and FSMA knowledge.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of SQF Program at the distribution center.
• Supervise food safety team; conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Serve as SQF Practitioner and PCQI; coordinate audits and remediation.
• Ensure timely data collection and reporting of Food Safety & Quality KPIs.
• Lead corrective actions and preventive measures and training programs.
• Coordinate third-party, government and customer audits and be available after hours for emergencies.
