Job summary

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is seeking an Offsite Catering Events Manager to lead and supervise all aspects of our offsite catering events in Chicago and surrounding areas. The role requires 2+ years of catering events experience and strong client-facing skills to develop proposals, contracts, and event logistics.

You will prospect new clients, coordinate staff, and ensure flawless execution across multiple sites, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of catering events management experience.
• Experience with cold calling and prospecting new clients.
• Ability to develop guest rapport and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise offsite catered events
• Solicit new catering clients through prospecting and cold calling
• Develop and accurately write catering proposals and contracts; follow specific offsite event instructions
• Staff all catering events, supervise employees working the event, and clearly communicate all details to employees
• Load, transport and unload food, furniture and equipment to off-site events or designated storage space using vehicle provided in variable traffic (must provide proof of current drivers license and MVR compliance)
• Attend tastings and weekly catering meetings
• Accurately record and account for all items ordered, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts
• Respond to client and guest questions and schedule catering events in online system
• Model and promote teamwork across all teams
• Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy
• Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights and weekends) at multiple sites with or without overnight travel, as needed
• Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• 2+ years of catering events management experience
• Experienced with cold calling
• Skilled in developing guest rapport

Salary Range

USD $55,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
