Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Subsea Engineer to join their offshore operations team based in East London. The role focuses on the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea production systems to ensure integrity, reliability, and performance of subsea infrastructure in offshore hydrocarbon extraction.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of subsea hardware, flow assurance, and project management within a demanding offshore Oil & Gas environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in subsea engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency with subsea hardware, including wellheads, Xmas trees, and control systems.
• Understanding of pipeline engineering and integrity management.
• Experience with subsea project lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ISO).

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer subsea production systems, including trees, manifolds, and pipelines.
• Develop installation procedures and oversee offshore installation campaigns.
• Manage the maintenance, inspection, and testing of subsea equipment.
• Conduct flow assurance studies to ensure product transportability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including drilling, production, and project management.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to subsea operations and equipment.
