Job summary

Gulf Island & Englobal is seeking an Offshore Rigger to perform rigging-up of slings, shackles, and related gear to lift and move materials on offshore vessels and platforms. The role involves coordinating crane activity, supporting welders and fitters, and maintaining rigging safety standards in outdoor environments.

Candidates should have 2+ years of offshore rigger experience, a valid TWIC card, and be able to pass physical, drug screening, and background checks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Offshore Rigger Experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Rig up slings, shackles, and rigging gear for lifts.
• Assist crane/operators with lifting operations.
• Coordinate crane activity for transport materials.
• Assist fitters with measuring and cleaning fittings for welding.
• Guide crew on safety and rigging procedures.
• Report defective rigging equipment to foreman immediately.
• Set up equipment on barges and offshore platforms as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on rigging gear and related equipment.
