Job summary

Gulf Island seeks Offshore Riggers to join their Offshore Maintenance team in Houma, LA. You will be responsible for rigging, lifting, and moving materials and equipment in both fabrication yards and offshore locations, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Ideal candidates have offshore rigging experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments. Pre-employment physicals, drug screens, and background checks are required, and a valid TWIC card is

Qualifications

• 2+ years of offshore rigging experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to lift and/or move 50–75 pounds.
• Stance and mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, and balance.

Responsibilities

• Rig and assist in rigging, lifting, and moving materials and equipment in fabrication yard and offshore locations.
• Maintain safety and quality standards while performing offshore maintenance duties.
