Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking an Offshore Rigger to perform rigging-up slings, shackles, and related tasks for lifting and moving materials on yard, offshore locations, or offsite sites. You will ensure safe and efficient load-outs and coordinate with crane operators and crew.

The role requires 2+ years of offshore rigging experience, ability to pass physical and drug screening, and strong safety awareness. You will work outdoors in varied conditions and support maintenance and welding teams as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Offshore Rigger Experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Thread and install screw pipe.
• Coordinate crane activity for transport materials.
• Assist welders and fitters in grinding, buffing, rigging.
• Rig-up equipment and materials for offshore loads.
• Set up water pumps on barges for load-outs.
• Guide crew regarding safety and rigging procedures.
