Job summary

Gulf Crane Services, INC is seeking an Offshore Rigger to safely perform rigging, lifting, material-handling, and load-control activities on offshore construction and maintenance projects. You will collaborate with crane operators, fitters, welders, and supervisors to move, position, install, and remove equipment and materials while following rigging best practices and offshore safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Offshore rigging knowledge and experience preferred.
• Ability to select and use slings, shackles, hooks, chain falls, come-alongs, and related rigging equipment.
• Familiar with crane hand signals and load-control principles.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow lift plans and supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigging activities for offshore construction, maintenance, equipment installation, and material handling.
• Rig loads for lifting and movement by cranes, hoists, and other equipment.
• Select and inspect appropriate rigging gear based on load and lift requirements.
• Attach/detach loads from crane hooks and lifting devices.
• Assist with positioning, aligning, and securing equipment and materials.
• Signal crane operators and maintain clear communication with crew during lifts.
• Follow lift plans and safety procedures; participate in JSAs/JHAs and toolbox talks.
• Support other crafts as needed when rigging is not active.
