Job summary

Gulf Island LLC seeks an Offshore Rigger to perform rigging-up operations for lifting and moving materials and structures, both onshore and offshore locations. The role includes coordinating crane activities, assisting welders and fitters, and ensuring safe rigging procedures are followed.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years offshore rigger experience, pass a physical and drug screen, and hold a valid TWIC card. Outdoor work and heavy lifting are required in this position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years offshore rigger experience is required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Background check required.
• Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Rig up slings, shackles, and other rigging hardware for lifts.
• Coordinate crane activity to move materials and equipment.
• Assist welders and fitters with rigging and grinding tasks as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies during lifts and operations.
• Set up loads for transport from yard to offshore vessels or platforms.
• Inspect and report defective rigging equipment to supervisor.
