Job Description

The Offshore Pipeline Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing offshore pipeline systems. Key tasks include preparing specifications, drawings, and scopes of work; performing design and installation analysis; verifying contractor deliverables; coordinating with other disciplines; and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Field experience and collaboration with clients and regulatory bodies are also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design offshore pipelines and prepare related specifications and drawings.
  • Perform installation and intervention analysis.
  • Draft scopes of work for pipe supply, coating, and installation.
  • Review and verify contractor and vendor documentation.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Support construction and project teams to meet pipeline requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Contribute to cost estimates, proposals, and staffing plans.
  • Mentor junior engineers and review their work.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of offshore pipeline codes (e.g., DNV).
  • Proficiency in pipeline analysis software.
  • Experience with conventional and trenchless shore crossings.
  • Familiarity with subsea construction methods and equipment.
  • Ability to lead interface management and oversee consultants.
  • Field experience aboard pipeline installation vessels.
  • Effective communication skills and strong report writing abilities.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (or international equivalent).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or another jurisdiction preferred; EIT license acceptable.
