Job Description

SUMMARY

Support the Rating Career Domain Continuum (RCDC) Task Order under the Navy's Learning Stack (LS) program by enabling secure, compliant, and scalable continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines within Navy-approved RPOC environments, aligned with the Rapid Assess and Incorporate Software Engineering (RAISE) 2.0 standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, maintain, and secure containerized application delivery pipelines, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity requirements, and supporting software sustainment operations across RCDC agile release trains.
  • Coordinate closely with cybersecurity engineers, cloud architects, software developers, and Navy RPOC technical teams.
  • Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines within RPOC-approved toolchains (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Harbor, Nexus, Kubernetes, Keycloak).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment pipelines using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Manage and secure containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes under RMF guidelines.
  • Integrate vulnerability scanning, container security, static application security testing (SAST), and dynamic application security testing (DAST) into pipelines.
  • Support continuous authorization (ATO) efforts by producing secure configuration baselines, scan results, and eMASS artifacts.
  • Work with Systems Engineers and Business Analysts to ensure technical requirements align with secure deployment strategies.
  • Assist in technical preparation for TRRs, FTRs, and stakeholder demos by ensuring deployable artifacts meet quality and security gates.
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues and provide technical escalation support during build, test, and release phases.
  • Comply with Navy Cloud Broker policies, DON Application and Database Management System (DADMS) requirements, and FAM approvals.
  • Support Incident Response (IR) plans and contribute to Cybersecurity Risk Management (POA&M) activities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Five plus (5+) years of experience in DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Secure Software Delivery roles.
  • Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Ansible, SonarQube, Nexus, and Keycloak.
  • Demonstrated experience with NIST SP 800-53 control implementations.
  • Knowledge of Navy RMF, eMASS, and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) best practices.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ (or higher CSWF certification).
  • Familiarity with software containerization hardening and SCAP/STIG compliance scanning.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance (generally, this requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Docker Certified Associate (DCA).
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or comparable certification.
  • Familiarity with RAISE 2.0, Navy RPOC onboarding, and container signing requirements.
  • Experience supporting Navy programs or PMW 240 systems.
  • Experience authoring SSPs, tailoring SRGs/STIGs, and resolving POA&M items.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE

  • Pay range: $80,000to $110,000per year.
