Job summary

Gulf Island LLC is seeking an Offshore Pipe and Structural Welder in Houma, LA to weld structural and piping components to contract specs. You will set up welding machines, select processes, and ensure welds pass NDT.

Responsibilities include performing welding per ISO/QC standards, maintaining safety, and tests per AWS D1.1, ASME IX, and API 1104. A TWIC card, 2+ years of experience, and the ability to pass drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a practical welding test.
• Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Must have a valid TWIC card.
• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate welding equipment per processes.
• Weld structural and piping components.
• Pass AWS D1.1, ASME IX, and API 1104 tests.
• Maintain weld quality to pass NDT.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear.
• Transport welding equipment to the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
