Job summary

Gulf Island LLC in Houma, Louisiana, is seeking an Offshore Combo Fitter to fit and install steel structures and piping offshore in the Gulf of America.

This role demands 5+ years of pipefitter experience and 2+ years offshore experience, ability to read drawings, measure accurately, and pass offshore safety trainings. Valid TWIC and pre-employment screening are required. Company benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Pipefitter experience and ability to pass pipefitter tests.
• 2+ years offshore fitter or welder experience.
• Must read and understand drawings; measure and fabrications accurately.
• Ability to pass offshore trainings and safety requirements.
• Valid TWIC card and ability to pass pre-employment drug and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Study engineering drawings to determine materials and task sequences.
• Read blueprints and work packs; interpret specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install structural components and piping per specs.
• Lay out and install piping, equipment, and other systems per ISO/work packs.
• Inspect sites for obstructions or weaknesses and ensure conformance to specs.
