Job summary

Estes is seeking an Assistant Manager, Offshore Operations to partner with the Manager of Offshore Operations and business leaders to develop and maintain operational strategies for service to offshore markets. The role includes mentoring offshore staff, coordinating with agents, and ensuring accurate documentation for freight movements.

The position emphasizes leadership, adherence to safety and policy, and the ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven tasks in a demanding shipping

Qualifications

• Good communication skills including verbal, written and listening.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to work independently or with team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer knowledge to include MS Office Suite and AS/400 system.

Responsibilities

• Assists in management of all phases of operations for Offshore markets (Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii).
• Lead, guide, mentor and direct offshore team employees with Manager of Offshore Operations.
• Work with agents to ensure prompt quoting, pickup and delivery of freight.
• Prepare documentation for transportation of customer goods, including Bills of Lading.
• Respond to inquiries regarding bill documents by coordinating with other departments.
