Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking an Assistant Manager of Offshore Operations to partner with the Manager and business leaders to develop strategies for offshore markets. The role reports to the Manager and covers periods in the absence of the supervisor.

You will assist in managing operations for offshore markets (Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii), lead the offshore team, and ensure timely freight movement, accurate documentation, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AS/400 systems.
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management of all phases of offshore operations for Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii markets.
• Lead, mentor and direct offshore team members; participate in hiring, training and terminations.
• Coordinate with agents to ensure prompt quoting, pickup and delivery of freight.
• Prepare and file documentation for Puerto Rico shipments, including Bills of Lading.
• Respond to inquiries regarding Bill documents and trace shipments across departments.
