Job summary

MacGregor is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer with hydraulic and electric competence to repair, maintain, and service critical marine equipment. The role covers offshore work and local shipyards/ports worldwide, with flexible hours based on demand.

Based in MacGregor’s Houston, Texas office, you will report to the Operations Superintendent and work in a multinational, collaborative environment, delivering high-quality service and documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical education in electrical or mechanical disciplines is required.
• Minimum 5 years of hydraulic and electric experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical equipment.
• Supervise refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions.
• Identify service and spares sales opportunities and communicate to the line manager.
