Job summary

MacGregor is seeking a hands-on Service Technician with Hydraulic competence based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will repair, maintain and service shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears and RoRo equipment on MacGregor and third-party gear, with travel up to 80% worldwide.

Travel to client sites, vessels or shipyards across the globe will be required; you’ll document work, manage service reports and comply with MacGregor safety standards.

Qualifications

• Background with hydraulic equipment and maintenance/repair of shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears and RoRo equipment.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic maintenance and repairs on shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears and RoRo equipment.
• Document work schedules and completed tasks accurately.
• Manage service reports, time sheets, and travel expenses.
• Ensure compliance with MacGregor safety standards and procedures.
