Job summary

Oil States Houma, a division of Oil States International, seeks a Field Service Representative to provide on-site service, repair and installation of customer equipment in Houma, LA. You will build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include diagnosing rig equipment, performing repairs, documenting service reports, and testing new installations.

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent and vo-tech training in mechanics, electrical, structural, precision tooling and related skills.
Three years of prior experience.
Ability to operate necessary hand tools, gauges and equipment.
Frequent and extended offshore travel required.
Intermediate mathematical and measurement computations.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Travel to rig location, diagnose problem using procedures and manuals, and advise customer on work involved.
Repair or service, including rebuild of damaged or worn components and installation of parts.
Complete written service and required inspection reports.
Install, start up, and perform function tests on new equipment.
In-house assembly and refurbish work when not in the field.
Perform inspections as per API.
