Job summary

CORE Group is seeking an experienced DP Systems Offshore Field Service Engineer to independently perform field service tasks worldwide, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of DP systems and marine propulsion controls. You will support clients on-site with minimal supervision, requiring strong technical skills and precise documentation.

Travel 50%+, including international assignments, with potential for extended offshore stays.

Qualifications

AAS in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of field service with DP systems in marine/offshore environments.
Experience with DP equipment (gyro, GPS, MRU, radar, etc.).
Linux systems and IP networking knowledge.
Experience with ladder logic, C++, and Java (preferred).
Bachelor's in Engineering preferred; 5+ years of field service preferred.
Willingness to travel 50%+ with international assignments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; work on vessels and shipboard environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for DP systems, joystick controls, and sensor systems.
Troubleshoot DP software and networking issues.
Test, configure, and repair spare parts and returned equipment (RMA).
Commission DP and control systems; verify installation and integration.
Prepare detailed service reports and documentation.
Provide onboard training to vessel personnel.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and systems.
Maintain safety and ISO quality standards.
