Job summary

IPT Global, an engineering software company based in Houston, seeks a Subsea Engineer to support offshore well-control operations and subsea equipment testing across domestic and international sites. You will coordinate testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment readiness while maintaining detailed documentation.

You will collaborate with clients, offshore personnel, vendors, and internal teams to plan and execute field operations, with travel up to 75% and offshore deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to understand complex equipment and procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and testing documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or control systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and PDF documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a safety leader at offshore and client work sites and support safety programs.
• Plan and coordinate subsea well-control equipment testing and barrier verification.
• Assist with preparation, execution, and documentation of pressure and functional testing.
• Monitor testing operations and identify equipment performance issues and risks.
• Maintain technical documentation including schematics, BSD files, test plans, and equipment records.
• Coordinate equipment preparation, installation, testing, and deployment in offshore and field environments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with subsea equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, and networks.
• Collaborate with clients, rig personnel, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient field operations.
• Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, equipment status, and service activities.
