Job summary

Offshore Aviation Group is seeking an experienced Port Engineer to manage the technical readiness and maintenance of the expanding vessel fleet. This senior shoreside role leads engineering support for DP systems, drydocking, refits, and vessel acquisitions, while developing the engineering team.

You will recruit, onboard, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff, manage budgets, coordinate with Masters and Chief Engineers, and ensure safety and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive marine engineering experience and responsibility for vessel machinery maintenance.
• Experience as Port Engineer, Technical Superintendent, Chief Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, generators, electrical systems, hydraulics, and auxiliary machinery.
• Familiarity with DP systems and related control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee condition, reliability, and maintenance of machinery aboard assigned vessels.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for propulsion, electrical, hydraulics, piping, HVAC, and auxiliaries.
• Coordinate with Chief Engineers to review maintenance records and verify corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to vessel crews and coordinate emergency repairs.
• Plan drydockings, shipyard periods, and major repairs with cost estimates and bid packages.
